Two types of end of track bumpers are used here. The wooden ties stacked up are at the end of a car repair shop track. A second track beside it is just out of sight to the left. The asphalt is card stock sprayed with Rustoleum black texture paint. It's weathered with tar lines drawn with a felt tip pen and then dusted with chalks.

The track with a concrete and cast steel bumper is on the RIP (repair in place) track which also serves as the shop area lead. Ballast is roofing granules. The whole area is built up on a sheet of iHomasote, which puts the tracks 'into the ground', unlike the track in the backgroud which is on built-up ballasted roadbed.
