This is one of the first - if not the very first - big urban train station projects to enter the public scene in O gauge. Mike was almost finished with this station when I was starting my Washington Union Station model, and his attention to detail, particularly in the interior, had a big impact on my thinking for my project.
Gorgeous work of art!

HiYa John, and all who visit here -
I'd like you all to know that I consider it quite an honor to have my terminal included in this collection of some truly great O gauge passenger stations. Foremost among them is, of course, John's splendid rendition of Washington Union Station.
Just to keep things honest, I want to make it clear that Great Central Terminal was a joint effort for the club layout of the Central Operating Lines in Ronkonkoma, New York. I designed the terminal track plan and built the head-house, along with the as yet unfinished plaza. The very convincing lower level is the work of another club member, John Cardona.
Cheers, and many thanks, John
- Mike
Love the detail work on the inside shots!

I just love the detail in this station, what was used for the walls and arches?
