This is my scratch built coal & ice company. The office & ice/cold storage facility are housed in the small street corner building adjacent to the farmers market; convient for loading a reefer with the farmers veggies. Across the street is the coal processing plant where coal is unloaded from railcars, cleaned & sized, then shipped out by truck or rail.

Joe The brick and roof are products from plastruct. The siding is basewood from Northeastern Scale Lumber Co. I build my structures from Luan applying the products mentioned to that. I replaced all my interior doors in my house and after a couple attempts of trying to sell the removed Luan hollow core doors at my wifes yard sales with no success I realized I had an ample supply of FREE material to construct my buildings on the layout. Thank's for compliment.

Great work in disguising the #97 Lionel coal elevator. It was always one of my favorite accessories. All Lionel accessories should be transformed out of the toy like appearance. P.S.Old #97 has good sound.
