My latest challange is coming up with a way to cut PVC pipe length wise. I need to cut about 120 pieces about 6 to 7 inches long and remove a 3/4 in. strip. The purpose is to cover the exposed all-thread on my Double Helix project. By removing a section the pipe it can be snapped around the all-thread.

This is what I need;

After trying differen tools for cutting, I found this multitool to work the best.

This is what it looks like snapped around the all-thread, acutully it snappes onto the nuts.

Here it has been painted with the Fleck Stone Paint.

The tools that didn't work for this project;
First I tried a Jig Saw but the blade was to short.
Second I tried my Sawzall, that was an overkill, to bulky and hard to control.
Third I used a hacksaw one where the blade could be rotated 90 deg. That worked okay but was really slow.
Fourth was a winner, that multitool with the little saw blade cut through the pipe like a hot knife in butter.
I was also using thin wall pipe.

would dark gray foam pipe wrap have worked too I wonder, as it is already slit, and easy to cut?

Tim, That's a great suggestion and yes it did work, it was really time saving and easy. I did resort to using that after spending to much time cutting the PVC, but at least it was a good learning experience.
Here's a picture of what it looks like.
