Who is guilty of some UTT among the group? Anyone ever take an old Marx Commodore that was destined for the scrap pile & chrome plate the shell? Anyone ever put a tied up damsel in distress on the track? Anyone ever (gasp) intermingled scales of trains on the same display? What kind of fun have ya?

confession time- Around the ripe old age of 8, I had a 4x8 HO layout. Nothing fancy, mostly orphaned TYCO christmas train gift stuff. I installed a siding that had TRACK CLOSED signs on it. You guessed it- the rail line went off the end of the table. Now, I did have a box, with pillows in it, and I never ran more than 1 thing off at a time, and they all survived. But pretending to have a runaway train crashing through the signs & then "peter pan" off the table was a lot of fun...

Sounds like fun to me! Too bad you don't have any videos of that, would be fun to watch.
Perhaps the most egregious UTT is not playing with them at all, of which I am very guilty of late...
