I'm making this bridge for someone to commemorate a special occasion. This bridge will have an engraved, plaque on one of the abutments. It is foam core, real stone, and will have a railing, with fastrack for display on a fireplace mantle. Still have to finish some things up on it, but it's getting there.



I made some nifty columns for railings, and added corbels under the string course, and
I decided to add some scenery to the ends. Also, the commemoration plaque has been temporarily installed. I have been putting off working on the underarch, but that will be next.
Still trying to get my rock work right.
As you can see, the voissoirs and keystone are now being created out of foam, they will be trimmed, glued in, and painted, with small filler stones added in around them, then grouted, as well.

All done:












This turned out to be a nice, solid, heavy piece.

Very nice. Special trophy like pieces are a niche market but usually do generate a little extra cash. Russ
