Pennsylvania Railroad's Pullman observation "Federal Hall" was one of the last of its type still in service in 1948 when it was converted to a coach. Pullman built 24 of these four compartment, observation-lounge cars in 1925. Most were named for historic Revolutionary era buildings between Boston and Washington DC along the New Haven and PRR.
